Our values are the basis for DSS Office Furniture's corporate community. One of the nine things that matter most to us
is called "A Better World." For us, contributing to a better world takes many forms--community service, inclusiveness and diversity, environmental advocacy, and the health and well-being of our communities.
Our 2008 Better World Report is an update about our ongoing attempts to live up to our values. Are we perfect? Of course not. Do we keep making progress? Yes, we do. Building a better world for everyone now and future, for us at DSS Office Furniture this is not so much a goal as an everyday fact of life.
Like volunteerism and good corporate citizenship, environmentalism has been alive and well at DSS Ltd for a long time. Our formal environmental programs and Environmental Quality has been in Action since the early 90s when we as a small company pushed forword to take a strong position on the environment and take actions to back up the words.

Recycling
One of the major features of our operation is sourcing products from companies who care as much as we do about the environment, as this effects all of our futures. We are able to source products from UK manufactures who use wood from sustainably managed forests, it's near perfect: durable, recyclable and requiring minimal energy to produce.
We are also very proud to be part of a very large furniture recycling program, which aims to avoid land fill, by passing on used furniture to charitable organisations, this is proving to be very effective in our communities.
